These terms apply when you engage Webson to build or maintain a website. By paying a deposit or signing off on a quote, you agree to these terms.
Webson is a web design agency based in Melbourne, Australia. We build websites for small businesses and sole traders. Our contact email is hello@webson.com.au.
We design and build websites as described in your quoted package (Starter or Pro). The scope is fixed at the time of quoting. Any work outside that scope, including extra pages, additional rounds of revisions, or new features requested after work has begun, will be quoted separately before we proceed.
A 50% deposit is required before work begins. The remaining balance is due before the site goes live. We don't release the finished site until payment is cleared in full.
Monthly add-ons such as SEO retainers or ongoing update plans are billed on the same date each month. If a payment fails and isn't resolved within 7 days, the relevant paid add-on may be suspended until the account is brought current.
Starter sites are delivered in 7 to 10 business days. Pro sites are delivered in 10 to 14 business days. These timelines start from the date we receive your deposit and any required content (logo, photos, copy).
If you need content from us (copywriting, stock photos), we'll factor that into the timeline. Delays caused by late content or slow feedback from your side may push the delivery date back.
Two rounds of revisions are included in every package. A revision round means you review the site, send us a list of changes, and we implement them. That's one round.
After two rounds, additional revisions are billed at $99 per round. Pro clients also get 10 free content updates after going live.
Once your final payment clears, you own the website. You can move it to any host you like, modify it, or hand it to another developer. There's no lock-in.
We manage the domain setup for every package. Starter and Pro clients also have hosting included. You can request an export of your site files at any time, and you keep the site if you move it elsewhere.
You're responsible for the accuracy of everything on your site, including your business name, services, prices, and any claims you make. We build what you ask us to build. If your content contains errors, misleading claims, or anything unlawful, that's on you.
You confirm that you have the right to use any content (logos, photos, text) you give us. If there's a copyright dispute over content you provided, you'll handle it.
If you cancel before work begins, your deposit is refunded in full. If you cancel after work has started, we'll refund the deposit minus the cost of work completed to date.
Monthly add-on fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. You can cancel any add-on at any time and it ends at the close of the current billing period. Add-ons can be re-added at any time.
We do our best work, but we can't guarantee specific business outcomes (more bookings, higher Google rankings, etc.). We're not liable for losses caused by downtime, errors in your site content, or third-party services (hosting providers, booking platforms, etc.). Our total liability is capped at the amount you've paid us for the project.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in Victorian courts.
